The venue - Le Mournet, Albon d’Ardèche, France
Le Mournet is first and foremost a family home which has been restored to create a home and a retreat/holiday location in the heart of rural Ardèche for all to enjoy. With large gardens sloping down the river Gluyère, a salt-water swimming pool surrounded by a large sun terrace and plenty of nooks and crannies to while away an hour or four, Le Mournet guarantees you a restful stay away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The owners Charlotte and Christian are huge fans of organic food and grow a lot of their own during the Summer months – all food at Le Mournet is organic and where possible locally sourced and always home cooked! As well as teaching yoga Charlotte gives Ayurvedic massage and she has now installed a massage cabin in the garden so as to capture the natural energy of the environment surrounding the Mournet and create a place devoted to well-being.
Le Mournet is situated in the heart of rural France and in a region little discovered and undisturbed by modern day life. This is an ideal retreat location and a great place to take stock of life and practise yoga whilst enjoying the modern comforts provided by Le Mournet’s three gite-style properties. The properties each have their own colour schemes but all benefit from plenty of little “touches”, home comforts and modern fixtures- each has WiFi internet connection, Ipod speakers/charger, satelite TV channels&DVD player. All rooms have a selection of books, plenty of cushions and blankets, beds are made up for when you arrive and hand and bath towels are provided for you. Cotton wool, tissues and a few extras in the bathrooms are all provided and in the kitchen a small selection of herbal teas and honey are also waiting for you. All you need to do is turn up, unpack and enjoy!
The village of Albon with its shop/bakery and bar/tabac is only a short walk from the Mournet and there is a private tennis court 5 minutes walk for you to enjoy a game in your free time.
